Lucy se graduó como fisioterapeuta en la East London University en el Reino Unido en el año 2000. Trabajó para el Servicio Nacional de Salud en varios hospitales de Londres hasta 2007, en que empezó a trabajar en el sector privado. En 2012 se trasladó a Barcelona con su familia. Allí reanudó su actividad laboral al año siguiente.
Lucy se ha especializado en el trabajo con mujeres durante el embarazo y el postparto. También tiene un gran interés en el campo de las lesiones deportivas (especialmente las relacionadas con el running & triatlones), donde combina experiencias personales con experiencia profesional utilizando una amplia gama de tratamientos, como la acupuntura, la activación muscular, la terapia manual y el ejercicio. Lucy ha estado trabajando recientemente para tratar a personas con ansiedad.
Lucy es miembro de la Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, The Health and Care Professions Council, Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, Physio First en el Reino Unido, y del College of Physiotherapists aquí en Cataluña.
Duración de las sesiones: cada sesión de fisio dura hasta una hora.
Precios: 55€ por sesión / 275€ por 5 sesiones (si es necesario) / 80€ por visita a domicilio (1 hora)
Disponibilidad: De lunes a viernes, de 10 a 16 h. Sábados con cita previa.

I can’t commend you enough on your professional approach, which frankly goes well above anyone else I know of in the city in your field.
Lucy is great, she’s a physiotherapist from UK and has excellent knowledge about all the things that you might struggle with after the pregnancy (worn out pelvic floors, aching backs, lost muscles, a few more pounds etc). It’s also really nice to get out and meet other mums and you can take your baby with you, which is also very convenient.
In the day and age of needing a different doctor for every different problem, today’s MD’s either don’t know or don’t care about how different ailments affect each other. Lucy is the first treatment professional I have visited in my 55 years that looks at and cares very much about the relationship and interaction between all aspects of the human body. She treats you as the’whole’ rather than as independent aches and pains……. thoroughly comprehensive, including the psychological aspects of chronic pain. Terrific!
I just wanted to say a massive thank you, you have literally been a superstar, your advice, your physio and everything has genuinely got me through that marathon so I want to thank you, and I reckon I would have struggled / maybe not even done it if it wasn’t for your help, advice and genuine care along the way, you a proper legend!
I wanted to recommend Lucy’s Mama & Baby Post Natal Pilates class on Tuesday’s at the Well Woman Clinic on Calle Casp. You can take your baby. Not only do you build your core strength back up, but Lucy shows you how to hold yourself when you push your stroller, hold your baby, breastfeed etc, so you can carry building it up, and not do more damage, the rest of the week. No one cares if your baby cries and you have to stop and nurse in the middle of class. No one minds if your baby cries and you only get to do ten minutes of the exercises. I found this to be a haven, a sanctuary for mind and body in the early days. I started going with my baby when he was six weeks old. He’s now six months and we’re still going, and plan to carry on. I come all the way from Sant Cugat for this, that’s how good it is.
I started going to Lucy’s pilates for mums classes when my daughter was six months old. I had been feeling a bit stiff and achy but hadn’t been able to do any exercise because I didn’t want to pay for childcare as well as a class and didn’t really want to leave my baby with someone else. The classes have really helped me eliminate all the aches and pains that I thought were inevitable when carrying a baby, breastfeeding, pushing a buggy, etc. Lucy’s background as a physio comes into its own as she is able to make sure that everyone is doing the exercises properly and as a mother herself she is able to give tons of posture and other tips which have made all the difference in allowing me to feel free and mobile again. I definitely recommend her classes to any mums, no matter how long ago you had your child, I’m still going almost 18 months later because the exercises are so useful, there’s such a lovely vibe and we all have a good laugh. I also come in to Barcelona every Tuesday especially for the classes and my daughter is now almost two!
