What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs or surgery. It can be helpful for anyone suffering from:

  • back pain
  • neck pain
  • knee or foot pain
  • tension or stress
  • chronic fatigue
  • sports injuries
  • arthritis pain
  • pre- or postnatal pain
  • postural problems

What to expect:

Every session begins with an interview and an expert analysis of the patient’s movements, joints, and muscles. A variety of techniques may be used, including:

  • massage
  • muscle exercises
  • osteopathy
  • correction of unbalanced muscles
  • Pilates
  • acupuncture

What is treatment like?

The specific techniques used in each session are different for every patient, depending on their problems, progress, and preferences. All treatment options are explained before beginning a treatment program, and are agreed upon by both therapist and the patient.

Normally patients wear their underwear during sessions, but if they prefer they may wear comfortable clothes instead.

There are two UK trained physiotherapists working at the centre:
