Barcelona Well Woman Centre is unlike any other health and fitness space in the city. The centre was founded in 2009 by Uby Muñoz, an Acupuncturist whose focus is on fertility. The centre has since then expanded to include a team of highly-qualified international health and wellness professionals from a variety of backgrounds; thus making it the holistic and light-filled oasis that it is today.
The centre’s specialties include:
Acupuncture, fertility, massage, nutrition & naturopathy, osteopathy, physiotherapy, pilates, pre-natal & post-natal support, psychology and psychotherapy, thai massage, and a variety of yoga styles.
I saw Uby for acupuncture to help with fertility and I am glad to say that after 5 months of treatment, I got pregnant. I found Uby very kind, patient, caring and committed and would definitely recommend her.
Uby was "MY SAVIOUR" for the 25 years that I saw her in London. She was always there for me whenever needed (which was often) and always managed to keep my body and my mind in balance despite the turbulent often desperate times of my life- for which I am very grateful.
Not only does Dorte come across as immensely knowledgeable in her field, she is also a very warm and compassionate practitioner. She has given me invaluable help in dealing with my eating disorder, looking at the whole picture and not only the food. Under Dorte's guidance I could finally start trusting that food is okay, my body is okay and I am okay. She is a gift!
Dorte is an amazing healer and nutritionist. I have been treated by her several times for various digestive issues and she always knows the right questions to ask. She gives you a very specific dietary plan combined with herbal treatments to reduce and/or eliminate your symptoms so that you feel back to your best after a few weeks. The best part is I love to eat and Dorte gives you a plan that allows for you to enjoy the foods you like and never feel hungry. My goal wasn't to lose weight but after a month of following her diet I lost 2-3 kilos and practically had no remaining symptoms. I always have a lot of questions surround diet and nutrition and Dorte knows how to answer them all. I have learned lessons from Dorte that I will carry with me for the rest of my life and always recommend her to friends and patients.
When I left Zoe’s practise I felt like I had a new back! It was soooo light and relaxed! It is amazing how she can SEE the imbalances and weaknesses, and the different methods she applies to relax and balance the back. I was impressed by all the knowledge she has and explanations she gave, it opened a whole new view of physiotherapy and health for me. And I like her concept of teaching you exercises to train the weak areas yourself, so you can become “independent” of her and any kind of therapy and improve your general state of health.Thanks, Zoe!
I went to see Zoe originally as she been recommended to me by half of the Barcelona ex pat community! I have had many injuries as a squash player. Consistently she has put the different problems right and I highly recommend anyone who needs good physio treatment!
I felt very tired, without motivation for doing anything, I was sad and I felt bad in general ... we talked about my obsessions and my feelings, then we started to focus on my behavior and habits to obtain some successful experiences and increase in my self-esteem.
We are very happy about the behavioral changes of our son after he started seeing Roger ... He has improved his self-control and self-esteem ... He went very happy to therapy sessions.
Lucy is great, she’s a physiotherapist from UK and has excellent knowledge about all the things that you might struggle with after the pregnancy (worn out pelvic floors, aching backs, lost muscles, a few more pounds etc). It’s also really nice to get out and meet other mums and you can take your baby with you, which is also very convenient.
In the day and age of needing a different doctor for every different problem, today’s MD’s either don’t know or don’t care about how different ailments affect each other. Lucy is the first treatment professional I have visited in my 55 years that looks at and cares very much about the relationship and interaction between all aspects of the human body. She treats you as the ’whole’ rather than as independent aches and pains……. thoroughly comprehensive, including the psychological aspects of chronic pain. Terrific!
Angela's healing talents have helped me feel balanced, clear, and calm. She is well-trained and has much to offer, so every session is unique. These 6 private lessons have been absolutely fantastic. A combination of breathing, stretching and a focus on strengthening yoga poses. Catherine has a very calm manner of teaching her yoga and makes it her own. I can definitely recommend her classes as you always leave positive, relaxed and with a peaceful mind.
Catherine’s technique is both professional and personal, something I look forward to each week. I like the mix of hands on and instructional, it helps a lot for people who are not as confident.

A fun class with an emphasis on strengthening the pelvic floor, abdomen, and upper back, ideal for postpartum recovery.
Absolutely anybody can do Pilates with Zoe! It doesn't matter about size, shape, previous levels of fitness or injury. Prior to a class you'll attend a personalised 1:1 assessment so that you get the most out of the classes.
Gentle Flow & Restore Yoga
A rejuvenating class with personalized attention. Evening class is mixed with alignment-based vinyasa and restorative postures with aromatherapy & Thai therapeutic massage.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A class which is dynamic and flows smoothly moving through postures to lengthen and strengthen the body and mind. It is the perfect mid week class to reground and refresh you for the rest of the work.
